How to get here
Taxi – 1 to 3 passengers
Direct from Bangkok/airport – 2500 baht – 2.5hrs
Minibus – up to 10 passengers
Direct from Bangkok/airport – 3500 baht – 2.5hrs
Direct from Victory Monument to your hotel or our kite school – 260baht per person – 3.5hrs. Very convenient and quick, but they don’t speak english and there’s no room for board bags. Fine if you travel light.
National Bus Company from Southern bus station (Satani Rot bus Sai Tai) to Hua Hin. About 200baht per person + tuk tuk taxi transfer hua hin>pak nam pran 400baht or so. Total time around 4.5hrs. Or get the Prachuap bus and ask the driver to let you off at Pranburi. It avoids Hua hin which saves 40min of travel time, but it’s harder to find a taxi. They will ask 4/500baht for the 25min journey.
From the Airport:
Busses leave every 2hrs from 7:30am to 7:30pm – around 300baht per person. Good if you have a big board bag though they may ask 200baht extra if it’s really big. Comfortable busses. Tuk tuk taxi hua hin>pak nam pran 400baht or so.
Takes a while but nice scenery. The 08:05 from Bangkok is faster and has air-conditioning (gets to Hua Hin at 11:29), or take the 09:20 if you don’t mind a fan and hard wooden seats (gets to Hua Hin at 13:35)
